  • Why you should be hangin with Cooper 😁

  • The ADP is all wrong for this Seahawk 😳

  • Meyers a winning dice roll in Vegas 🎲

  • The latest news from the NFL 📰

Amari Cooper (CLE), ADP 34.2, WR18:

Cooper is back from a core surgery he had over the winter, and is ready to build on what was among his most productive seasons ever.

Even WITH sup-par QB play.

He proved to be Cleveland’s no. 1 guy:

• 12 in RZ targets (16)

• 12th in deep targets (24)

• 7th in air yards share (38.3%)

Aside from the volume, he showed no signs of regression:

• 15th in yards per route run (2.3)

• 3rd in unrealized air yards (870)

In fact, he’s been a top-20 WR in 6 of his 8 seasons.

Deshaun Watson was clearly rusty last year. But an approximation of his 2020 self would highly benefit Cooper:

• 1st in yards per attempt (8.9)

• 5th deep ball completion % (50.8)

• 7th under pressure accuracy rating (6.7)

Cooper seems confident since rejoining the Browns, Tweeting cryptically about having a big year in 2023.

With a full season of Watson, I think it will happen.

Garrett Wilson (NYJ), ADP 12.7, WR8:

I’ve written recently about Wilson’s performance and how it shifts with various QBs.

Zach Wilson was notably bad for Garrett Wilson’s production, but he’s never exactly had a great QB.

Enter Aaron Rodgers, who needs no more introduction. He can support great fantasy WRs as he has proved countless times in the past.

Wilson’s other stats of note:

• 11th in air yards (1,575)

• 6th in unrealized air yards (837)

• 19th in total yards after catch (365)

His 19 RZ targets (9th) led to just 4 TDs, so positive regression is a reasonable expectation as well.

There may be a lot of mouths to feed for Rodgers in NY, but Wilson is the most talented of all, and has the best shot to emerge as the fantasy league winner.

Rodgers has to look his way, and the elevated QB play will allow him to surpass his PrizePicks prop of 1,149.5 receiving yards.

Calvin Ridley (JAX), ADP 32.3, WR16:

I REALLY want Ridley to be back. With a rising Jacksonville offense, a big comeback seems more likely than not.

On paper, he’s a huge upgrade over Marvin Jones, who commanded a decent 81 targets in 2022.

And the Jags’ 35.9 pass attempts per game ranked 9th.

I’m hoping Ridley can return to his previous form. Back in a shortened 2021 season, he was still popping off:

• 5th in route win rate (51%)

• 7th in target share (27.4%)

• 4th in air yards share (40.0%)

Going back to 2020, we see the real upside:

• 1st in air yards (2,063)

• 1st in deep targets (40)

• 2nd in red zone targets (22)

• 2nd in air yards share (41.4%)

That year, Ridley was 4th in total yards but led the league in unrealized air yards with a whopping 968!

He’s still just 28, and now paired up with a rising Trevor Lawrence, who just keeps getting better.

Doug Pederson’s attack is shaping up nicely. Draft Ridley for a shot at a big time league winner.

Drake London (ATL), ADP 43.5, WR22:

London’s chemistry with Desmond Ridder was obvious, as was his massive level of raw talent.

At USC, he had 2,153 yards and 15 TDs, recently earning a plaque on their famed All-American Walkway.

Other encouraging metrics:

• 18th in RZ targets (15)

• 5th in target share (29.4%)

• 11th in yards per route run (2.40)

• 20th in unrealized air yards (640)

Those 15 RZ targets above represented a 32.6% share.

With the offense adding Bijan Robinson in the draft, Kyle Pitts returning to health, a good O-line, and development from Ridder, London is looking like a solid WR2.

Tyler Lockett (SEA), ADP 64.5, WR34:

How does 2022’s WR13 fall so far in drafts?

Right now he’s almost 40 spots later than DK Metcalf and even going just after rookie teammate Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

It doesn’t make sense.

Lockett was WR16 in fantasy points per game and can still get open as well as anyone in the league:

• 5th in route win rate (51.3%)

• 10th in total route wins (245)

• 5th in target separation (2.25)

If that’s not enough, Pro Football Focus graded Lockett as the MOST open WR, with a 67.5% open target rate.

He’s also got 4-straight 1,000-yard seasons

All of this makes him one of the best values in your draft.

Courtland Sutton (DEN), ADP 95.1, WR48:

I’ve been big on the Broncos. Sutton will be a part of that.

He was the overall WR43 last year but I think he’s a boom candidate going into the 2023 season:

• 100% route participation

• 11th in deep targets (25)

• 25th in target share (23.5%)

• 10th in win rate vs. man coverage

• 23rd in overall route win rate (44.3%)

Russell Wilson didn’t help him out at all last season, as the target accuracy to Sutton ranked 63rd of all WRs and contributed to the 17th-most unrealized air yards (693).

Danger Russ is also in far better shape this year than last, which should bode well for his own performance.

He and Jerry Jeudy make up a very talented pair and who can put pressure on opposing DBs.

Especially at this price, Sutton is well worth the draft pick.

Jakobi Meyers, (LV), ADP 119.7, WR56:

The 5th-year player is a picture of consistency.

Now he gets a situation where his former coach is running the team, and can put him in a good place to succeed.

In ‘22 he was:

• 20th in total TDs (6)

• 16th in slot snaps (333)

• 19th in yards per route run (2.18)

And he carried the 12th-best dominator rating (30.8%)

Hunter Renfrow’s efficiency took a dip last season:

• 94th in ADOT (6.5)

• 99th in air yards share (10.3%)

• 63rd in fantasy points per game (7.9)

So I expect Jakobi to siphon a LOT of his targets.

And if you’re a slot specialist like Meyers, there are few better guys to be playing alongside than Davante Adams.

The situation looks promising. He’ll help you win games.
